The Role
SRSPO's Project Management Unit (PMU) is responsible for coordinating a significant program of capability acquisitions, including AIR7000 Phase 2B – P-8A Poseidon capability delivery project, and the expected P-8 Capability Assurance Program (CAP) upgrade. The RAAF P-8A capability is planned to undergo a major upgrade in line with the Cooperative Program between Defence and the United States Navy. The project will acquire hardware and software elements to upgrade the aircraft and ground support systems, manage the modification program and ensure the systems are integrated into the Australian environment.
You will work within the Support Systems team to capture emerging technical information as it relates to the ongoing development and integration of the P-8A mission support and training support system updates. You will manage the ongoing engagement between a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are successfully planned and achieved.
About our Team
Surveillance and Response Systems Program Office (SRSPO) ensures the availability and performance of complex surveillance and response airborne and related systems for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) – including the P-8A Poseidon and the AP-3C (Electronic Warfare) aircraft systems. SRSPO acquires and supports common Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (ALSE) used on all air vehicles operated by the RAAF, Navy and Army. In the near future we will also support the MQ-4C Triton, a new remotely piloted high altitude long endurance aircraft system.
