About the role- 15 month Fixed term

The Kemps Creek ADC Health and Safety Specialist will lead and manage the overall safety performance of the Automated Distribution Centre (ADC). Act as the sites Subject Matter Expert and provide information to enable the ADC to achieve strategic Health, Safety and Wellbeing objectives, performance targets and compliance. Foster and maintain a work environment conducive to operational excellence and continuous improvement, employee engagement and the highest levels of safe working practices.  The will also represent the business to state regulators and state based industry bodies where necessary whilst maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and service providers

You’ll also:

  • Implement safety strategies in partnership with State Managers and key stakeholders
  • Provide direction, advice and practical support to store area management teams on safety, workers compensation, injury management and wellbeing related matters 
  • Ensure legislative requirements and good practice are achieved within stores
  • Support HSE management systems and initiatives
  • Ensure the identification of emerging risk exposures, develop and monitor risk registers and ensure mitigation of identified risks are put into effect
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and incident investigations at a regional level
  • Audit systems and the close-out of corrective actions

About you and your skills

  • Extensive experience working in a Senior Safety leadership role 
  • Strong background working in an operational FMCG distribution Centre, Manufacturing or Automated Environment is highly desirable
  • Proven record of successfully implementing strategic plans 
  • Proven record of driving and supporting change within teams
  • Proven record of providing technical expertise and coaching all various operational levels
  • Degree preference- Safety or Legal Related Discipline (Risk/Hazard management, Ergonomics)
  • Strong communicator that can influence great outcomes
  • Knowledge of relevant H&S Legislation
