The Opportunity

CPP are winning major projects in the renewable energy and utilities sector. To assist with our companies growth we require a Principal Structural Design Engineer to provide technical expertise for the development of infrastructure for substations. You will work closely with other engineers, designers and clients across a range of crucial projects where you will contribute to the successful delivery of structural design requirements of substations, transport and civil structures, steel/concrete buildings and transmission infrastructure.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will enjoy mentoring and supporting a team of structural engineers including graduates.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in a similar Principal Structural Engineer position within renewables or utilities
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Australian guidelines and standards 
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and mentor graduates and engineers 
  • Proficient in SPACE GASS, PLS-CADD/PLS POLE and other structural tools
  • Demonstrated recent experience working within utilities or renewable energy design projects
