About your role

The HS Advisor provides HS technical advice to the business and is responsible for providing support for the improvement and sustainability of site HS programs, such as Audits, Risk Assessments, Investigations, Machinery Safety, Chemical Safety, Working at Height, Ergonomics, Electrical Safety, Contractor Safety, Permit To Work, LOTO and Emergency Management.

What you'll do:

  • Support the overall site HS Plan and its successful execution through the maintenance of effective monitoring programmes.
  • Provide support for operational support staff, engineers and shift employees with advice on HS issues.
  • Ensure all legislative standards are included in the relevant components of the site HS plan and activities.
  • Provide input into the development, and assistance in the execution of, the site HS Plan.
  • Develop and deliver communications and training as needed to all management and employees, effectively demonstrating RPF’s commitment to employee’s health & safety.
  • Support the site Risk Assessment program by coaching employees in the risk assessment process. This will include participation in hazard identification activities, guidance on risk assessment protocols and review of documented risk assessments.
  • Support the implementation of the HS Training Plan, including coordination and delivery of training sessions outside regular business hours.
  • Support the management of employee personal injury and illness cases including Return to Work

You will succeed if: 

  • You have sound experience in similar HSE role in manufacturing or mass production environment
  • you have a great project management experience in driving the delivery of safety projects as required
  • you understand the government safety requirements and industry standards.
  • You're able to facilitate safety training programs in small or large groups.
  • You understand workers compensation and injury management processes
