The Role
As the APS 4 Production Officer, you will be required to perform and achieve moderately complex production management work within an integrated workforce. You will be accountable to have a good understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. 

You will be accountable for organising your workflow, making decisions within their defined parameters relating to area of responsibility and you will seek guidance when required. You may exercise some discretion with respect to how legislation, procedures and guidelines are interpreted and applied to your work.

The APS 4 Production Officer will be required to share information, monitor work practices, set work priorities and develop local procedures. You may supervise and provide leadership to a team, providing coaching and on-the-job training for newer and less experienced team members.

The APS 4 Production Officer may be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. You will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

About our Team

22 Squadron Mechanical Equipment Maintenance & Operations Section is a diverse and integrated workforce made up of Military, APS and contractors. The section is responsible for providing maintenance support to all ground equipment at RAAF Base Richmond.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly motivated; outcomes focused Production Officer to join our maintenance team. You will have the ability to work autonomously in a small but diverse team, and provide coaching and training to other members as required.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Have keen attention to detail;
  • Be able to manage and prioritise your work tasks;
  • Use initiative to improve processes and be adaptable to change; and
  • Have experience in Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
