Senior R&D Scientist (Contract until Sept 2025)

We have a fantastic Fixed Term (12 Months) opportunity for a Research and Development Senior Scientist to join the team. You will lead the innovation agenda for brands in Australia and New Zealand by leveraging technical expertise to develop and improve products across recipe, performance, packaging, quality, and cost. Proactively address business and consumer needs by applying advanced technology and best practices to enhance brand performance.

The Opportunity

• Drive Brand Innovation: Communicate product benefits and leverage global trends to enhance market performance and achieve business objectives.
• Monitor Performance: Analyze consumer data and feedback to identify and capitalize on opportunities for competitive advantage.
• Oversee Product Development: Manage the development process from concept to launch, ensuring consumer validation and effective project management.
• Improve Products and Processes: Enhance existing products and processes through continuous improvement and adoption of global best practices.
• Provide Technical Solutions: Offer technical expertise to resolve issues, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and optimize costs.
• Manage Systems and Budget: Administer product formulation systems, maintain quality standards, ensure compliance with regulations, and oversee the R&D budget.

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a product/process development environment.
• Relevant Degree in Food Science or related field
• Strong Computer proficiency
• Strong Technical and Analytical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proven ability in effective internal and external engagement
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and influencing skills
