Job Description

Our retail-ready meat processing facility based at Burleigh Heads, QLD is seeking a skilled Senior Health & Safety Advisor to drive safety initiatives across our facility. In this crucial role, you'll be a visible, hands-on leader working closely with the production team to create a safer, more efficient environment for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with team members across all levels, from production floor staff to senior management, to foster a strong safety culture.
• Change Management: Lead and support safety-driven changes, ensuring smooth transitions and ongoing compliance.
• Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide actionable feedback to mitigate potential hazards.
• Continual Improvement: Be a champion to lead innovation and improvements in the WHS space that create improved outcomes.

Desired Skills and Experience

What You'll Bring:

• Safety Experience: Proven experience in a health and safety role within the manufacturing or food industry (highly desirable) or other industry which offers transferrable skills.
• Qualifications: Relevant Australian qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, a Diploma of Work Health and Safety, or higher.
• Hands-On Approach: A proactive, on-site presence with the ability to engage directly with production staff and champion safety on the floor.
